‘I aim to make my counselling services accessible, affordable and available to all.’

I offer a range of concessions on my fees for:

• Students
• Trainee counsellors and psychotherapists
• Disabled people
• Pensioners
• Clients who are unwaged

I provide personal counselling for student counsellors or psychotherapists at the special discounted price of £20 per session. To be eligible you will need to provide evidence of your current counselling/psychotherapy course and institution.

I am also currently offering a 20% discount on my fees if you wish to block book 4, 6 or 10 sessions in advance.

Please do not let the cost of counselling deter you from seeking support and getting the help you need when you most need it.

In the current climate I do appreciate that many people are experiencing financial difficulties or may have a limited budget. As I want to make counselling accessible to people from all backgrounds and communities I am happy to discuss your individual circumstances with you at the start of counselling, how you are going to pay and what you can afford.

Cancellation Policy

If you think you may be unable to attend your counselling appointment I ask that you let me know as soon as possible and at least 48 hours prior to your agreed appointment time. If you do not attend and I do not hear from you at least 48 hours before your appointment please be aware that I will still require the full cost of the missed session, plus the fee for booking a room and I will invoice you for this amount.

My cancellation policy also applies to all initial counselling appointments. Please be aware that non-attendance at an initial appointment will incur a £15 charge. This is to cover costs of room bookings as well as my travel expenses.

Payment terms and conditions

Room Booking Deposit

All initial counselling appointments are free of charge. However due to the fact that I rent rooms at an hourly rate from the different venues I work from in Preston and Wigan, I ask all clients to make advance payment of a £15 room booking deposit prior to confirming an initial appointment. Therefore if you have already paid the room booking deposit but choose not to attend your initial appointment, please be aware that unfortunately I am unable to refund this payment. However if you do attend the appointment, decide that you wish to continue counselling and adhere to my cancellation policy, I will hold the room booking deposit for the duration of therapy and return £15 to you following your last appointment.

Advance payment of counselling fees

In my private practice I operate an advance payment booking system. This means that in order to book a room at one of the venues I work from and to be able to confirm your counselling appointment I require advance payment for the session in full. Once payment has been received I will inform you via text or email that your appointment is in the diary and you will also receive an invoice and receipt for this payment. I normally take advance payment at the start of each session or prior to the appointment (if working online).
