The techniques you will learn on this course: a mix of mindfulness, compassion, a supportive mindful movement practice and modern pain management strategies will help you to manage pain and health conditions – whether they be big or small, short-term or long-term.

This course is for anyone suffering with pain, illness, fatigue, or any other health condition, who may have difficulty attending face-to-face events, or who wants to practise from home. The course was designed by Vidyamala Burch, founder of Breathworks, based on over 30 years of managing severe chronic pain with mindfulness. In my own teaching I continue to adapt and update the activities, meditations and resources used on the course to make them more accessible, relevant and user-friendly for diverse groups and individuals of all abilities, backgrounds and cultures.

Book your place on Mindfulness for Health (MfH) Course

Why join a Mindfulness for Health course?

So if you’re happy with what you’ve read or heard about the course and feel it might just be what you need right now, you can book your place on Mindfulness for Health today by taking the following short three steps:

Step 1 – Complete course booking form

To reserve your place on Mindfulness for Health (MfH) please fill in this short booking form which asks you to provide some personal details, your level of experience regarding mindfulness and meditation, what you would like to pay and your reasons for attending the course and any accessibility needs or special requirements you feel you may have during the training. On signing up you will also be invited to confirm that you agree to the terms and conditions for participating on this programme.

Step 2 – Make payment (either deposit or in full)

Once you have submitted the course booking form it’s time to make payment. Please note that your place on the course will not be reserved until payment has been received in part or in full. You can either pay a deposit (half the course fee) or pay the full fee upfront. If you choose to pay a 50% deposit the rest of the fee is required no later than two weeks before the start of the course.

Whether you pay a deposit or the full fee you can cancel up to 14 days prior to the start of the course and receive a full refund. After this time you cannot normally claim a refund and while I will make every effort to accommodate you at another event should you wish to transfer this cannot be guaranteed.

I aim to enable as many people as possible to have access to all of my mindfulness courses, events, webinars and retreats and to make the training I provide as affordable as possible to people of all backgrounds and circumstances. However I am self-employed and I need to generate sufficient income to enable me to continue offering high quality events. Therefore my payments and concessions policy is to ask individuals to pay the standard course fee if you are able to do so. If you are able to pay the full standard fee this then helps me to be able to offer concession prices to those who cannot otherwise afford to attend.

My two concessionary rates (reduced fee and subsidized), shown in the list below, are based on a policy of trusting people, so I choose to trust that people will only claim one of these concessionary rates if they are genuinely eligible for that and are living on a low income. You may, for example, choose to book onto a mindfulness course at the reduced or subsidised rate if you are in receipt of a universal benefit (such as Universal Credit, Disability Living Allowance or PIP), if your sole income is a state pension or if you are a full-time student. If there are other reasons why you feel you might struggle to pay the course fees I encourage you to contact me to discuss further.

In exceptional circumstances it may be possible to arrange an individual payment plan to give you equal opportunity to participate on a course.

My four fee categories are as follows:

  • Subsidised Fee: £80

Choose your payment amount and quantity of places required.

Once you have submitted your booking form and made advance payment you will receive a confirmation email from me confirming your place on the course, along with a receipt for your records and further information about the course including course materials, resources and how to prepare for your attendance on the course.

Step 3 – Pre-course Discussion

Prior to the start of the course we will arrange to have an informal conversation about the course, your expectations of the training and any additional requirements you have which you may have specified on your booking form and in any initial discussions with me. Depending on your circumstances, needs and time of booking, this pre-course discussion may involve just one or a couple of meetings or conversations and may take place face-to-face, online or over the phone. Having this time to ask questions, discuss your individual requirements and making sure you have everything you need for the training, will hopefully enable you to feel safe and supported at all stages and get the most out of your participation on the course.
